️ Video – 5.0 out of 5
While not quite as sharp as the native 4K version, the 1080p Blu-ray benefits from the same stunning new 4K restoration by Paramount. The result is an exceptional HD transfer with great depth, shadow detail, and color accuracy. Grain remains natural and unobtrusive, and contrast is beautifully balanced throughout. Even without HDR, the new master vastly improves upon previous Blu-ray releases, offering excellent image stability and stronger delineation in dark scenes. Whether on a modern display or classic home theater setup, this Blu-ray shines.
Audio – 5.0 out of 5
As with the 4K disc, the Blu-ray offers DTS-HD MA 5.1 and 2.0 mixes. The 5.1 mix stands out with immersive surround use during tense sequences and subtle ambiance in quieter moments. Dialogue is crisp and never overpowered by the score or effects. The 2.0 track is solid and theatrical, but the 5.1 option is the way to go for fuller audio impact. Both tracks are clean and free from distortion or noticeable age-related wear.
