Video – 4.5 out of 5
Disney’s 4K presentation of Lilo & Stitch is an upscaled transfer, but one that brings new visual life to this beloved film. While the increase in fine detail is moderate, Dolby Vision significantly enhances the vibrancy and warmth of the watercolor backgrounds and island palette. Colors—especially pastels, teals, and ocean blues—shine with greater tonal depth. Some fluctuations in line detail are inherent to the hand-drawn animation style, but the film maintains a wonderfully organic texture throughout. The overall effect is a charmingly refreshed take that retains the heart of the original look.

Audio – 5.0 out of 5
The new Dolby Atmos track is a clear highlight. From the opening space chase to Stitch’s chaos on Earth, the height and surround channels deliver a playful, immersive experience. Ambience in island scenes, atmospheric score moments, and Stitch’s manic energy are all rendered with clarity and excellent directionality. The mix remains clean and dialogue is largely balanced, with only a few center-channel lines that could use more forward presence. Still, this Atmos mix is a major step up from previous releases.

Special Features – 2.0 out of 5

Audio Commentary
Despite the legacy charm of these features, they’re all in standard definition and feel dated. A digital copy is included, and the packaging features a glossy slipcover with embossed artwork.

Overall – 4.5 out of 5
Lilo & Stitch remains one of Disney’s most emotionally grounded and artistically distinctive animated films. The 4K UHD release doesn’t deliver reference-tier sharpness due to its upscaled nature, but it shines in warmth, color fidelity, and an excellent Atmos track. While extras are minimal and outdated, the film itself receives a vibrant and heartfelt upgrade that fans and families will find highly recommended—especially with the upcoming live-action remake around the corner.
