The film, based on a chapter from Bram Stoker’s classic novel, deviates from typical Dracula narratives by delving into this lesser-explored segment of the story. The plot unfolds through the captain’s log, revealing a gradual descent from normality into horror.

   The film begins with the discovery of the ghost ship Demeter, its crew brutally slain, and the captain dead, hinting at the horrors that occurred during its voyage. The narrative then retraces the events from the crew’s selection to the loading of mysterious cargo, leading to the fateful voyage.

   Key characters include Captain Eliot (Liam Cunningham), First Mate Wojchek (David Dastmalchian), Dr. Clemens (Corey Hawkins), and stowaway Anna (Aisling Franciosi). Each character brings their own depth to the story, particularly Dr. Clemens, who serves as a Van Helsing figure, and Anna, whose background is pivotal to the plot.
