Video Quality
The Blu-ray presentation is sourced from the same restoration as the 4K, retaining excellent film grain and detail, though without the expanded dynamic range of HDR. Colors are faithful and well-balanced, with sharpness and clarity that outperform earlier Blu-ray editions. Some compression is present in dense crowd scenes, but overall image quality is impressive for 1080p.
Audio Quality
Audio is a highlight here, especially the DTS-HD Master Audio 2.1 Sensurround mix, which recreates the film’s original theatrical bass impact. Dialogue is clear, and the mono track remains an authentic alternative. The absence of height effects makes the Atmos-exclusive 4K track superior for immersion, but this Blu-ray mix still delivers strong dynamics.
Special Features
- Theatrical Trailer
- Original Sensurround Audio Mix (2.1)
- Optional Mono Track
✅ Overall Recommendation
As part of the 4K package, the Blu-ray is an excellent HD presentation for those without 4K capability. While not as immersive as the Atmos track on the UHD disc, it retains the core strengths of the restoration and Sensurround mix.
